Ashley was called the bar in Ontario as lawyer in 2022 and has been with working with the firm since 2016. She started her legal career in 2013 as a Paralegal where she worked in the areas of Criminal Law and Provincial Offences, appearing at many courts throughout Eastern Ontario.
Ashley was called the bar in Ontario as lawyer in 2022 and has been with working with the firm since 2016. She started her legal career in 2013 as a Paralegal where she worked in the areas of Criminal Law and Provincial Offences, appearing at many courts throughout Eastern Ontario. She also helped in a wide variety of civil litigation matters and appeared before the Small Claims Court.
In recent years, Ashley has dedicated much of her practice to ensuring her clients do not fall victim to the tactics of insurance companies and that her clients receive appropriate coverage for treatment and compensation for their injuries. Once a competitive figure skater, Ashley does not give up and works hard to ensure that her clients receive what they are entitled to. Ashley works closely with Partner Matthew Gervan on challenging claims and cases including the recent License Appeal Tribunal decision of Kazan v. Aviva 2020 ONLAT. In that decision the insurance company was ordered to pay a special award to the claimant in addition to benefits the that had been denied.
Ashley attended law school at University of Northampton in the UK and graduated at the top of her class. She competed and made it through several rounds of the Oxford University Press & ICCA National Mooting Competitions. She was also chosen to participate in the Ashoka U Exchange for promoting social change and justice in her community.
Ashley also sits on the Research Network Ethics Board with the Winchester District Memorial Hospital and is starting a charity to help accident victims who cannot afford treatment because of insurance problems.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys tackling many DIY projects within her home, golfing and travelling.
