Vivian joined McNally Gervan as an associate in 2017 after moving to Ottawa from British Columbia. Her practice is focused on personal injury claims on behalf of plaintiffs, with a special interest in child welfare claims.

Vivian is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria. She was called to the British Columbia and Ontario bars in 2016.

Vivian brings strong litigation skills to her practice due to her time as a criminal prosecutor in British Columbia. While working for the Crown, she regularly appeared before the British Columbia Provincial Court and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. She also gained experience conducting personal injury trials as a law student, working for a prominent personal injury firm in Victoria.

Vivian also brings empathy and passion to her practice due to her background in child protection, and the two years she worked for the British Columbia Representative for Children and Youth. She channels this background to effectively advocate for people who have suffered serious injuries.

Vivian is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the County of Carleton Law Association. She is also involved in the local community as a volunteer roster lawyer and project coordinator with Reach Canada.

When she’s not thinking about the law, Vivian plays intermediate level indoor and beach volleyball, and loves to cook, bake and explore the outdoors.
