Licensed Paralegal
Ashley Thompson is a licensed paralegal working in plaintiff civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury and insurance disputes. She supports Greg Gilhooly’s practice and handles a wide range of matters, including tort claims, long-term disability disputes, and complex accident benefit files involving catastrophic impairment.
Her commitment to this work is rooted in personal experience. After her grandfather suffered one of the most severe spinal cord injuries, resulting in quadriplegia, Ashley witnessed firsthand how her family’s life changed overnight—navigating a long and difficult battle with the insurance company and a tort claim, all while trying to adjust to a new and overwhelming reality. That experience shaped her determination to help others facing similar challenges. She brings empathy, focus, and a deep understanding of what’s at stake to every file she works on.
Ashley is a licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario and a member of both the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the County of Carleton Law Association.
